$750 raised and donated for our 2019 Holiday Adopt-a-family fundraiser which will help 2 local Des Moines Area Families this holiday season.

$1500 were raised and donated to Youth Emergency Services & Shelter (YESS) here in Des Moines.
- Capital Bears was happy to present Youth Emergency Services & Shelter (YESS) with a check for $1,500. Funds were raised while we had a lot of fun during Bear Neccesities 2019.
- Thank you again to all the volunteers and attendees who made this possible.

$600 additional funds, totaling $977 raised for our 2018 Holiday Adopt-a-family fundraiser which will help 4 local Des Moines Area Families this holiday season.
- Thank you to Chris F, his family, and their business, The Floor Doctors for matching $400 towards this effort!
- Thank you to Nick Ball and Price Chopper, Johnston for your gift card donations to families in need.

$50 donation to One Iowa - LGBTQ Leadership Institute for a raffle at the Des Moines Art Center event. A few Capital Bears attended and promoted our group, to support these talented future leaders, and this great organization.
The Capital Bears were invited to attend the annual the Iowa Safe Schools - Spirit Awards on Friday, October 19, 2019. Shangela, from Ru Paul's Drag Race, hosted and helped the Iowa Safe Schools team raise money to support Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) Networks across the state.
The Capitlal Bears helped welcome attendees and support a successful Iowa Leather Weekend (ILW), October 12-14, 2018.
